Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business and Quality Assurance Analyst willing to take the next step in his/her career and join our awesome TIP Canada Mississauga Team undergoing an exciting multi-year, multi-phased digital transformation strategy with major upgrades to our Technical environment.

As the Business & Q/A Analyst you will be responsible for the ongoing improvement of business processes through quality technical solutions which are effectively utilized by business areas.


  • Work with our business subject matter experts, software development and technology teams to:
    • Translate user, product and/or systems requirements into functional solutions
    • Provide documented cases, workflow analysis
    • Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching / analyzing current system capabilities and define technology solutions options / recommendations 
    • Ensure solutions delivered are effectively used by business areas
  • Apply technical background/understanding to define, document and translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and technical / functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks
  • Work with IT management and business customers to ensure effective communication, integration of project issues and deliverables, and clear articulation of business requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
  • Communicate delivery status and provide timely notification of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution to stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to management.
  • Assist with documentation and execution of test cases and documentation of user guides
  • Co-ordinate user acceptance testing an in-depth knowledge of TIP Canada organization, business processes and software supporting them.
  • End user training for new software features as required.
  • Continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge trends and develop expertise in applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery.
  • Prioritizing and managing own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
  • Supporting a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues.
  • Participating in knowledge transfer within the team and regional departments.
  • Act as a technical resource for business partners to research system issues and ensure deliverables meet business and end-user requirements.
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively to identify solutions and resolve problems.


  • 5 or more years IT experience in BA or QA roles.
  • Proven track record of developing accurate requirements ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful and timely projects completion.
  • A degree or accreditation in Computer Sciences or Technology.
  • Knowledge of Business Analysis practices, Project Management, or Lean Processes, or working towards designation.
  • Fully experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of IT infrastructure and development projects.
  • Fully experienced in Application Development projects and life cycles.
  • Comfortable with using the full range of the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Able to adjust methodology and approach appropriately against the size and complexity of the project or stakeholder.
  • Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Self-starter and results focused who can adapt well with being part of a Globally evolving team working across multiple time zones with minimum supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of TIP Canada organization, business processes and software supporting them.
