We are delighted to share news that TIP is expanding its current UK apprenticeship scheme with a further intake of seven new students.
Currently, TIP has ten apprentices on the scheme but, as part of its ongoing staff development programme, it will expand significantly throughout the coming months. The re-vamped scheme will also widen to encompass Grayrentals.
The scheme involves students embarking on a comprehensive 4-year term course that is dedicated to trailers and ancillary equipment, such as tail lifts. It includes a Level 3 Diploma in ‘Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance’ and Levels 1,2,3 NVQ in ‘Fabrication and Welding’. Years one to three are predominantly college-based with blocks of on-site training, whilst year four provides more ‘hands-on’ workshop training.
Whilst TIP has operated an apprenticeship scheme for several years, the enhanced format that is now in place has a more structured framework, competitive salary scales and ongoing incentives to help introduce more younger people into our workforce in the future.
