How long have you been in the industry and how did you get into it?
I took a job with an organisation which had a joint venture with a trailer leasing company. I then joined that company in 1998 and have been in the trailer industry ever since, arriving at TIP in 2016.
What are the top 3 most valuable skills you've learnt whilst working for TIP?
I worked solo for some years, so I’ve learnt to be part of a team again. TIP has a great team of people. TIP is also the most open organisation I’ve ever been part of and it’s helped my communication skills. Lastly, I’ve learnt to share problems with colleagues, which helps get issues resolved and also helps retain my sanity!
How has your role changed/ evolved since you started at TIP?
The role has definitely evolved in the last 18 months, we have transitioned from face-to-face to largely digital-based communications with our customers. Time spent in the car has also shrunk drastically. Elements of this new way of working will doubtless remain.
What is your biggest work achievement?
I am both flattered and proud of the way customers have remained loyal to TIP and myself over the years and of how we have grown the business in a tough market.
