How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the contract hire and rental industry since 2000. Until 2018, I was only involved in the van and truck sector. I began working with trailers when I joined TIP.

What does a typical day for you involve?

No two days are ever the same! The days I enjoy the most are when I am visiting customers and learning about their businesses, then looking at ways I can assist in helping them achieve success.

What is your biggest work achievement?

It may not be the biggest, but the one I am most proud of is when a driver who worked for me left to start his own business and I supplied him with his first van. Over time I watched his business grow from strength to strength. Within 5 years, his rental fleet with me was over 20. To see him grow as a business and a person was very satisfying.

What is a fun/interesting fact about yourself?

I’ve recently taken up golf again after a 20 year absence. I was not very good then and age has not improved my game!
